Paying for Medications

 

Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs), offered by most name brand pharmaceutical companies, provide free or low cost medications to qualifying individuals. Typically, these programs are for those who are financially unable to purchase medication at retail because they do not have health insurance, or they only have Medicare and/or they do not qualify for Medicaid.


Each pharmaceutical company has different eligibility and qualification requirements. Requirements frequently include completing extensive paperwork. Ask at your pharmacy counter for more information.
