Office of Behavioral Health

Welcome to the Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) web page! Within the Colorado Department of Human Services, OBH is responsible for policy development, service provision and coordination, program monitoring and evaluation, and administrative oversight for the public behavioral health system for non-Medicaid eligible citizens of Colorado, including the Division of Behavioral Health (consisting of mental health and substance abuse community programs), the Mental Health Institute Division (operation of two Mental Health Institutes at Fort Logan and Pueblo), and the Domestic Violence Program.

You may find these divisions or services by clicking on the tabs at the top of the page, or on the division links in the Division Offices box. OBH Announcements

  1. Gov. John Hickenlooper signed Senate Bill 11-209 (the FY 2011-12 Long Bill) and endorsed supporting legislation that will help balance the state’s budget.
  2. The next Behavioral Health Transformation Council meeting is on Friday, February 24th, 2012 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at 1575 Sherman Street in conference room's 4A and 4B.
