There are several good reasons to give to your favorite charity through the CCC:

• Non-profits know early in the year what their annual revenue from CCC will be, and helps them plan their programs

• Payroll deduction, available to all State employees through the CCC, is an
  easy way to give- you won’t miss the money you don’t see. Through payroll
  deduction most of us can be more generous than a one-time donation

• Non-profits appreciate that the CCC’s low administrative costs are only
  7.85%, adding additional funds back to the charities

• Your donation through the CCC has a greater impact when it is combined
  with the generosity of your fellow co-workers in the State
  
   

Each of us benefits from living in a community that provides service to those
who may need or want them. Living in a healthy, safe and vibrant community
gives us comfort in knowing that the needs of the community are met.
 

Yes, if you itemize. Every agency listed in the Resource Guide is recognized by the IRS as having a 501 (C) (3) non-profit status.
 

All the non-profits listed in this year’s Resource Guide applied to be part of the
CCC through the Advisory Board in March of 2009. The decisions regarding
eligibility are based on compliance with the CCC’s Advisory Boards Bylaws. If
you know of an agency you would like to see as a member please contact the
CCC office at 303.561.2392 to obtain an application for that agency.
 

The CCC is a donor choice campaign; you decide where your money goes.
You may not approve of all the non-profits that CCC sponsors, but the
organization(s) you choose will benefit from your contribution.
 

Yes, the authorization can be stopped at any time, in writing, at your payroll office.

You have the right to stop your pledge at any time for any reason.

In 2008, the CCC’s costs were 8.8% of the campaign. The Advisory Board
reviews and approves the budget for each campaign each year.
Administrative costs cover office rental, utilities, personnel costs, printing, a
CPA audit and other related costs.
 

When you designate your gift, your contribution, less the CCC administrative
cost, will go to the charity or charities that you choose. CCC is a donor choice
campaign. You may request that the charity you choose send you a letter of
acknowledgement.
 

Yes, you have to complete a pledge form conforming your pledge amount and
current information.
 

No, the Colorado Combined Campaign has a policy of not giving personal
information obtained from a donor on a pledge form unless the donor wishes
to be acknowledged.
