The Office of Interagency Prevention Systems is committed to assisting local communities in providing high quality coordinated prevention and intervention services for the state's children and youth. This includes enhancing local capacity by implementing effective strategies and practices - or 'Best Practices' - to better serve the needs of children and youth. Programs that rely on such strategies and practices are also frequently referred to as 'model,' 'evidence-based,' 'science-based,' and/or 'blueprint' programs.
The purpose of this website is to aggregate and translate information on Best Practices for prevention and intervention strategies, programs and interventions that improve child, youth and maternal health outcomes. This includes researching, reviewing and summarizing current literature and web resources on Best Practices and making them available in one place.
