2009 Matching Grants Program
Colorado Conservation Districts really gave the 2009 Matching Grants Program a run for its money this year! Fifty-seven proposals were submitted requesting over $1.2 million dollars and the reviewing committee had a difficult assignment to choose which projects to fund. With the standard of applications steadily increasing every year and approximately half a million dollars to distribute, tough decisions had to be made and most awards trimmed. However, almost three-quarters (28) of the projects that Districts deemed their top priority have been offered significant funding. All over the state, taxpayers will benefit from the dedication and hard work of Conservation Districts and gain by investing in natural resource conservation on private lands.
Below is a list of projects that have been offered funding from the 2009 CSCB Matching Grants Program for completion by November 20th 2009.
