Biocontrol Agent Fee Information
The last day to get on the 2009 bindweed mite list is 05/29/09. Requests made after this date will be filled in 2010. Please do not send payment now (with your request). We will contact you to arrange for payment & shipping arrangements in season.
The new fee structure, approved by the Colorado Agricultural Commission is as follows:

| $100.00 | 1 cooler (approximately 15-20 releases) of bindweed mites sent to a partner institution. (If the institution is interested in establishing a site for future collection, please contact the Insectary directly before ordering.) |
| $15.00 | Canada thistle gall flies (Urophora cardui) |
| $15.00 | Diffuse and spotted knapweed agents (Larinus minutus and Cyphocleonus achates) (Last day to request: 06/03/09). |
| $15.00 | Puncturevine weevils (Microlarinus lareynii, M. lypriformis) |
| $15.00 | Musk thistle crown weevils (Trichosirocalus horridus) |
| $15.00 | Dalmatian toadflax stem weevils (Mecinus janthinus) |
The Insectary can only accept a check as payment (no cash or credit cards) and checks must be received before shipping arrangements can be made.
Please make checks out to the Colorado Department of Agriculture and include your address and the best number to reach you at during the day.

Alternative sources for biological control agents could possibly include your county's Colorado State University Co-Op Extension http://www.ext.colostate.edu/cedirectory/allcounties2.cfm as well as other agencies such as municipalities, weed control districts and conservation districts should they choose to distribute bindweed mites. Please be aware that each agency has their own procedures and fees that are associated with biocontrol distribution.
