Scales, Moisture Meters, Textile Meters & Cordage Meter Licensing
Commercially used scales, moisture meters, textile meters and cordage meters must be licensed. Take one of the following steps:
Application
You now have two options when licensing. Remember,

Licenses run from July 1st to June 30th of each year.

Fees are based on the quantity of scales or device types to be licensed.
1. Apply online by credit card

License online, for a small service fee.

2. License by mail with check or money order

Send the completed form and fees to our mailing address:
License Correction

Make changes on a license correction form and remit to our mailing address.
Authority for device licensing and inspection is given in the Colorado Measurement Standards Act Sections 35-14-107, 35-14-124, 35-14-127, and 35-14 -129.
