Money Smart Colorado
Money Smart Colorado is a public awareness initiative aimed at building individuals’ financial knowledge so they can manage their money more confidently and shrewdly. The initiative’s primary goal is to provide workshops, seminars, and events to help families, students, homeowners, businesspersons, employees, and other community members improve their financial literacy. Colorado’s initiative is similar to successful financial literacy awareness programs run by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Coloradans of all ages and areas of the state are invited to participate. Visit the Money Smart Colorado website for more information about the program and opportunities to participate in classes near you. Most events are free and offer unbiased financial education.
PEAK Phase 1 - Now Live
PEAK is a Web-based portal designed to provide clients and community organizations with a modern, accessible tool with which to apply for public assistance benefits. Currently, PEAK only allows new applicants for public assistance to screen themselves for potential program eligibility, and existing customers to check their benefits in CBMS. However, in April 2010, clients will be able to apply for benefits entirely online. Click here to access the new PEAK portal.
