Question:
I visited your state while on vacation. How do I file to
receive a reimbursement on the sales tax paid?
The State of Colorado
does not provide an exemption from sales tax for visitors to the state.
Anyone who purchases tangible personal property in Colorado must pay
sales tax on those purchases. Other states and countries may treat this
differently, but in Colorado, all purchases are subject to sales tax
unless specifically exempted. For example, purchases by either a
nonprofit entity or a political jurisdiction are usually exempt from
tax. |
