About the Commission
Barbara Yondorf Barbara Yondorf is a senior program officer at Rose Community Foundation. Rose Community Foundation makes grants to organizations and institutions serving the seven-county Greater Denver community. Barbara directs the Foundation's Health program area, which supports efforts to improve access to health care for low-income children and their families, nurture informed health-policy leaders, and improve individual and community health. Prior to joining the Foundation, Barbara was president of Yondorf & Associates, a health-policy consulting firm. Before this, she was director of policy and research for the Colorado Commissioner of Insurance. Barbara has also worked for the National Conference of State Legislatures, the Colorado Department of Health, and was a budget analyst for the Colorado Legislature's Joint Budget Committee. In addition, she has published and presented numerous papers and reports on health-policy issues. Barbara earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Chicago and a Masters in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She serves on the boards of Coloradans for Clean Air, Denver Health Community Health Services, and the Denver Health Authority, where she is a vice chair.
